The Best Known Names are Not Necessarily the Best Choice

I had a customer yesterday that found us through our website (http://www.BestCarpetCleaningInTown.com) and hired us to clean her carpets in her home.  As always, we greatly appreciate the opportunity to be of service.  While talking with the customer (for purposes of this post, I’ll call her Ms. Washington), Ms. Washington told me she had called one of the big-name, national brands – Stanley Steamer.   We had quoted her a price over the phone for everything she wanted done at $175 (once I saw the job site, I actually reduced the price to be fair to Ms. Washington). 

According to Ms. Washington, Stanley Steamer told her it would cost over $400 for the same service.  Wow! That price was extremely bloated for what she needed done.  One can only guess as to why they were so high – location, scheduling, or some other reason. 

I have had several customers with similar stories when comparing us to the “big guys.”  Once the customers truly understand the scope of our services and then do an “apples-to-apples” comparison, they usually find the pricing from the “big guys” to be much higher than initially believed.

Why?  Unlike many of the bigger, national brands, Bailey’s Renew-o-vators does not up-sell or nickel and dime our customers.  We reveal everything up front and explain to our customers before we ever start a job what all is included.  Furthermore, when we arrive on site, we do an initial walk-through with our customers to make sure what we see is what we expected based on our phone conversation.  If there is something we did not expect, we always discuss this with our customers before beginning work.

We provide comprehensive services for the price we quote as opposed to a low-ball “hot-water extraction” only price.  Some of the other services out there will offer a low-ball price for hot-water extraction only then start adding substantial fees for using cleaning solutions, deodorizers and for removing standard spots/stains.  We utilize a superior process and always include a carpet cleaning solution and deodorizer as part of our standard service.

Bailey’s Renew-o-vators has added services to enhance our comprehensive floor-care offerings.

Although we have provided tile & grout cleaning for some time, many people are not aware of this service.  Utilizing our state-of-the-art processes and high-quality cleaning solutions, we can bring your tile & grout floors back to life.  Re-sealing of the grout is also available as needed or upon request by the customer.

We have recently added waxed floor care to our list of services.  This is of interest primarily to our commercial office clients.  We offer buffing/polishing, re-waxing and stripping/waxing services.

“After putting in a request for information regarding cleaning my carpet at my house, I was called in less than 10minutes! I was truly impressed with the speedy call and not to mention the friendly gentleman informing me of the Bailey’s service.
